From Stuck to Unstoppable: How to Identify and Defeat Limiting Beliefs

Overcoming Limiting Beliefs

  • Overcoming limiting beliefs is beneficial in all areas of life, not just finance.
  • People use different maps to navigate life, such as legal, liberal, and sovereignty maps, but none of them are effective.
  • Work with the person of God, the promises, and the process, without complicating it.
  • Renewing the mind and heart focuses on getting past limiting beliefs and experiences that cause hurt.

The Process of Overcoming Limiting Beliefs

  • Recognize and address limiting beliefs, such as memories that are played over and over in the mind.
  • The concept of an iceberg, where behavior is the surface, thoughts and feelings are underneath, and beliefs drive values.
  • Example of a businessman who had a limiting belief about trusting women, which affected his marriages and behavior.
  • Identify and address these beliefs with God’s help.

Questions to Ask God About Limiting Beliefs

  • Ask God questions to identify and address limiting beliefs.
  • What lies have I believed about myself?
  • What lies do I believe about my past?
  • Believing a lie about God’s nature can affect behavior and thoughts.
  • Beliefs impact behavior and it’s important to address them.
  • What lies do I believe about my future?
  • What lies do I believe about my purpose?

The Great Exchange and Taking Captive Untrue Thoughts

  • The great exchange puts off the old lies and puts on God’s truth.
  • Identify and address untrue thoughts, such as feeling unqualified or out of control.
  • Engage with these thoughts and bring them into captivity.
  • Scripture plays a major role in affirming God’s truth and replacing untrue thoughts.

Repentance and Changing Thinking

  • Repentance means changing your thinking and agreeing with God’s perspective.
  • The Holy Spirit convinces believers of righteousness and helps them change their thinking.
  • The Holy Spirit can prune or remove untrue beliefs and replace them with God’s truth.
  • Recognize and address limiting beliefs to achieve success and fulfillment.
  • Be patient with yourself and trust that God is patient and kind in the process.
