From Zero to Hero: 4 Essential Steps to Building Wealth (Part 1)

  • Everybody has a different definition of wealth.
  • The Triple X Factor provides a 30,000-foot view of the wealth building process from a biblical perspective
  • Deuteronomy 8:18 says “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”
    • Other translations say “make wealth” or “acquire wealth.”
    • Really, there are two ways to build wealth: you create it, or you acquire it.
  • The first step, or first X, on The Triple X Factor is getting out of debt. This is where your income exceeds your expenses.
    • In western nations, it’s easy to spend more than you make because of consumer credit.

#1: Increase Your Value

  • You bring value, not time to the marketplace.
  • So, invest in yourself to become more valuable. YOU are the first investment you should make.
  • When you become more valuable, money will become attracted to your life.

3 Steps to Investing in Yourself:

1. Learn

  • Become a lifelong student. Leaders are readers. Take the time to invest in education that pertains to the areas you want to grow in.

2. Listen

    • Take a rich person out to a six-course dinner to keep them talking! Ask questions, humble yourself, and listen.

    3. Look

    • Look at the lives of people you admire. Examine the ways of the wealthy. As Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”
