One of the most common questions I get asked is how to begin investing. On Monday, I gave you three practical tips to get started, but today, I want to give you something everyone can do, no matter their income level: invest in yourself. Let me tell you, I’ve built and lead more companies than I can count, and I started as a pastor from the south. I didn’t become successful because I was born into it, or because I had a lot of money. With the grace of God and some investment into myself, I built everything I have. In today’s post, I’m going to show you how.

3 Ways to Invest in Yourself to Achieve Greater Success

1. Invest Your Time

When I was getting started, I didn’t have a ton of money to invest in myself. We didn’t have online courses or live streamed teaching! Basically, in order to invest in yourself, you either had to read books or have a personal connection to a successful person.

Today, there are all kinds of free resources available to you. You don’t have to know Tony Robbins personally, but you sure can benefit from watching his videos online! I have some great videos on business as well, you can find those here. You can read blogs, or use Google to find anything you need to know.

2. Invest Your Money

There are so many free resources on the internet, but there is something to be said for investing money into yourself. When you invest money, you are on the hook. You will feel the pressure to take what you learn and apply it so that your money didn’t go to waste. Now, this can be a counterintuitive thought for many people, but when you invest money into learning something, you tend to be more invested in completing it.

Think about it, how many free eBooks are sitting in your inbox unopened and unseen? Now if you had spent $200 on that eBook, you’d probably have read it by now! Invest your money back into yourself by learning to do things that are going to benefit you in the future. If you are investing in a reputable course or event, I can promise you won’t regret it!

3. Invest Your Knowledge

What you give is what you get, right? I truly believe that if you help other people when they’re in need, God will lead people to help you. Once you have invested time and money into yourself, look into investing your knowledge into other people! When you teach, you also learn.

Investing into other people will yield an immeasurable return. That human connection you’re making can benefit you life in ways you could never have seen.
