Before his passing, Billy Graham said, “I believe one of the next great moves of God will happen through the believers in the workplace.”
We are seeing that movement take place today. We are living in the days of the Third Great Awakening—an incredible season of opportunity where business and wealth are being reclaimed for the Kingdom of God. God is raising up entrepreneurs, investors, and leaders who understand that wealth has a purpose: to fund the gospel, transform communities, and advance His Kingdom across the earth.
But in such an opportune season, we must take care how we build. The Apostle Paul wrote,
“According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
— 1 Corinthians 3:10–11 (NKJV)
If we’re going to build something that lasts and impacts the Kingdom, we must build on the right foundation. When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He said, “Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10)
Those words capture the heart cry of every believer who longs to see God’s purposes fulfilled in our world. But what does that really mean?
On Earth As it Is in Heaven Meaning
The defining reality of heaven is the presence of God. So, when we talk about experiencing heaven on earth, what we’re really talking about is living with God and operating by His blueprint.
While it is beyond the scope of this blog to go into everything the Bible tells us heaven will be like, In Matthew 6:10 Jesus defined heaven as a place where God’s will is done. So, we can make earth a little more like heaven when we submit to God’s authority and seek His Kingdom in every part of our lives.
Romans 12:2 gives us clear directions on how to discern the will of God. It says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
I don’t know about you, but I don’t just want God’s good will—I want His perfect will for my life! The only way to uncover this is to renew my mind to His Word daily. Renewing your mind isn’t just about putting scripture into your head, it’s about getting the old junk out. You must be willing to be challenged by the Word of God.
This is especially critical when it comes to money and business. The world is full of strategies that seem wise but can pull you off course. Scripture is clear:
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.”
— 1 Corinthians 3:19 (NKJV)
If we want to experience heaven’s order in our finances, we have to think differently. Dive into what Scripture says about stewardship, generosity, and work. Allow God’s Word to shape your mindset. The more we align with His blueprint, the more heaven touches earth through our daily lives.

Building with God
We pray because we know “on earth as it is in heaven” is not something we can accomplish without the mighty power of God. It’s one thing to build for God; it’s another to build with Him.
Jesus made the distinction clear when He said,
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
— John 15:5 (NKJV)
We cannot build anything that carries God’s presence without first becoming people who carry His presence. Every Kingdom endeavor—whether it’s a business, a ministry, or a new investment—must flow out of relationship with Christ.
Unfortunately, many entrepreneurs and ministry leaders are building things in Jesus’ name without Jesus.disconnected efforts, no matter how good the intention, won’t produce eternal fruit.
Psalm 127:1-2 (NLT) puts it plainly:
“Unless the Lord builds a house,
the work of the builders is wasted.
Unless the Lord protects a city,
guarding it with sentries will do no good.
It is useless for you to work so hard
from early morning until late at night,
anxiously working for food to eat;
for God gives rest to his loved ones.”
If you want your work to endure, you must build in rhythm with the Master Builder.
The Pace of Grace
Living “on earth as it is in heaven” doesn’t mean hustling harder, it means learning to move at the pace of grace.
For much of my career, I kicked down every door and created my own opportunities. Not only is this mindset common for entrepreneurial types, it is praised and rewarded in American culture. Over time, I learned that striving isn’t the same as stewarding. True fruitfulness comes when we walk in step with the Spirit and our pace reflects God’s timing, not our ambition.
That doesn’t mean we don’t work hard; it means we let God define what hard work looks like in each season. Now, at 70 years old, I know to wait for God to open doors by His favor before I walk through them.
When we live by our own limits, we swing between overworking and underbelieving. One day, we’re burning out trying to make things happen; the next, we’re shrinking back because it feels too hard. Neither approach builds the Kingdom.
God invites us to rest in His timing, to trust His process, and to let His grace carry the weight of what He’s called us to do. When I finally surrendered my plans, God showed me His. What He’s done through WealthBuilders, Andrew Wommack Ministries, and Charis Bible College—where I have the privilege of serving as CEO—has been nothing short of miraculous. It’s living proof of what happens when God builds the house.
In his book, “Where are you God?!” pastor John Bevere instructs, “Don’t let your wonderful God-given dream have a higher priority than living in God’s presence and doing only what your Father desires.” Amen!
Partnering With God’s Design
Ephesians 2:10 reminds us,
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
— Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)
God has a plan, and He reveals it piece by piece as we walk with Him daily. Our job isn’t to create the plan, but to cooperate with it. Too often, we act like architects when God has only called us to be builders.
Isaiah 64:8 says,
“But now, O Lord, You are our Father;
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all we are the work of Your hand.”
— Isaiah 64:8 (NKJV)
If God is the potter, then we must remain moldable. Clay doesn’t tell the potter what to make; it simply yields to His touch. Likewise, in the marketplace, our role is to stay responsive to the Holy Spirit’s shaping. That means allowing God to form our character before He expands our capacity.
Sometimes, partnering with God’s design will look like a delay. Sometimes, it will look like redirection. But if we remain pliable in His hands, we will find that every adjustment draws us closer to His heart and prepares us for something greater.
As Kingdom-minded leaders, we must trade control for collaboration. When we do, we stop striving to make things happen and start stewarding what heaven is already doing.

At WealthBuilders, we are gathering a community of people who are so radically in love with Jesus that they want to serve Him with every part of their lives. We are not eager to go and build something with our own strength and blueprint. Rather, our motivation is to partner with what God is already doing, and we believe He is moving in the marketplace.
There is a sound in the Spirit, and it’s like a dog whistle. People are responding to the call to be ministers in the marketplace who build wealth and give generously into the Kingdom of God. Though you may be hearing that sound, you might not know the when, where, and how of building wealth—that’s okay! Our WealthBuilders team is eager to walk alongside you on your wealth building journey.
The 2026 WealthBuilders Conference, happening February 20–22 in Denver, Colorado, and available via livestream, is designed for believers who want to align their work with heaven’s vision. You’ll experience powerful worship, biblical teaching, prophetic ministry, and practical training in business, real estate, and investing through a Kingdom lens. This is a moment for you to align with heaven so you can walk in the favor of God—not your own strength.
